About the Macquarie Code

The Macquarie University Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research (Macquarie Code) outlines standards of responsible and ethical conduct expected of all persons engaged in research under the auspices of Macquarie University.

The University developed this Code to meet the standards set out in the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research (2007).

The Macquarie Code was last updated and authorised as at 21 June 2017 - all previous versions are superseded.

The Macquarie Code will be reissued in accordance with the requirements of the release of the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research (2018).

About the Australian Code

A new Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research was released in June 2018. Compliance with the Australian Code (2007) is ongoing until the new Australian Code (2018) is formally adopted and implemented into University policies and procedures, no later than 1 July 2019.
