Fitness to Practice

Fitness to Practice

SUMMARY

The Fitness to Practice (FTP) Procedure applies to all students enrolled in Practical, Clinical and Professional (PCP) programs or units. It establishes how the University will identify and manage FTP at admission and during candidature, including supporting students enrolled in these programs or units.

The FTP Procedure is governed by General Coursework Rules 9.7, 9.8, and the Academic Progression Policy and is supported by the Inherent Requirements Framework.

The FTP procedure applies to PCP programs, which have embedded practical or clinical placement requirements in order to fulfil registration requirements.

The Fitness to Practice Procedure is accessible under the Academic Progression Policy.

Note: this Procedure supersedes the Fitness to Practice Procedure for the FMHS Doctor of Medicine program with effect from 30 July 2018.
