University policies and procedures
University policy documents must be developed, approved, communicated, implemented and reviewed in accordance with the Policy Framework Policy. The Policy Framework Procedure provides further information on key responsibilities and actions required when developing a policy document or reviewing an existing policy document.
The Policy toolkit and templates page provides further guidance for University staff to develop or review policy documents.

Search for policy documents
Policy Central is Macquarie University's repository for all approved policy documents.
To find specific policies, procedures, schedules and other related documents use either:
- Policy Explorer to filter your search using the Category, Audience and/or Status (New/Amended etc.) filters; or
- The A to Z list to view all policy documents.
The New or Amended Policy Documents page also lists recently approved or amended policy documents.
Did you know? You can also locate policy documents using a keyword search through the search icon in the top right of any page.
Find out which policy documents are new or amended using either:
- Amendments are detailed in the Amendment History within the Notes section of each document.
- The Contact Officer listed in the Notes section of each document can be contacted to provide feedback.
You may notice that PDFs of policy documents have been removed. There was low use of the PDFs and printed or locally saved versions risk being out of date. We also want to be sustainable and promote less use of paper.
You can still print a policy document through the options in your browser’s tool bar. And if a Word or PDF version is required for review, please contact the Policy Unit at email@example.com
