Racism. It stops with me
At Macquarie, we are committed to creating a respectful, safe and welcoming culture for all and we are proud of our culturally-diverse and inclusive University community.
We support the Australian Human Rights Commission's Racism. It Stops with me campaign. Our goal is to help our staff and students be culturally aware and confident in addressing racism and racist behaviour whenever and wherever it occurs. Since August 2014 we have held a series of events, facilitated a number of workshops and engaged in associated research projects and activities.
We have also forged strong community connections and partnerships with local communities to prevent racism. In 2015 we were involved in the development of a series of short films exploring racism in the North Ryde community, in collaboration with The Salvation Army, the City of Ryde and All Together Now.
