At Macquarie University we recognise the diversity of skills and experiences that each staff member brings to our organisation, and value the contributions of all staff regardless of age.
Macquarie University participated in the Investing in Experience – Corporate Champions program in 2014-15. This federal government initiative supported employers who commit to moving towards best practice in the recruitment and retention of mature age staff.
Building on that program, we are now working with an industry expert in mature age workforce management to refine our policies and practices to better support, engage and optimise the contributions of our mature age staff.
