Fees and costs

While your scholarship will covers all your tuition fees for the duration of the course, you must meet any compulsory student fees and the costs of any books or materials required to complete the course.

Minimum progress

You are required to commence your studies in the Macquarie Business School term following the award of your scholarship and complete your studies within the program's time frame. To maintain your scholarship, you are required to pass the following units:

  • Accounting for Management
  • Organisational Behaviour
  • Marketing Management
  • Strategic Frameworks

Articulation to other Macquarie Business School programs

It may be possible for scholarship holders to articulate to the Graduate Diploma of Management program. Articulation with a scholarship to this program is not automatic, and may not always be available. Applicants must compete for a scholarship with all other applicants, and must meet Macquarie Business School requirements for articulation. You may be permitted to articulate when you have provided an end of program report (see below).

Deferring

Only one deferment for commencement or completion of studies will be granted based on work and/or personal challenges. Requests must be made in writing to the Macquarie Business School Director of HR and the Manager, Organisation Development stating the reasons for deferment and time frame for completing your studies.

End of program report

At the end of the program you are required to submit a one-page report on how:

  • the program has assisted you in meeting your objectives as stated in your application
  • you are applying the skills and knowledge learned, to your work
  • the program has been of benefit to the University

Send your report to your Head of Office/ Department/ Faculty, and to Organisation Development at develop@mq.edu.au.

Leaving employment

Your scholarship will cease if you leave employment with Macquarie University. If you choose to continue the rest of your studies, you will need to make alternative payment arrangements directly with Macquarie Business School for the remainder of your program. If you leave the University you must notify the relevant Macquarie Business School program manager and Organisation Development at develop@mq.edu.au.
