Teaching spaces
Our teaching spaces have been designed to enhance student experience in all types of learning. The teaching spaces include active learning spaces, computer labs, tiered lecture theatres, tutorial and seminar rooms, and practical spaces.
Your timetable and teaching room
Find out when and where you are teaching (class days/times and room location) and what facilities are available in the space by accessing the Timetable System
Search by:
- Unit code – to find details of all the lectures, tutorials or labs for that unit
- Name of academic – to find all classes you are scheduled to teach
Once your search results come up, click on ‘Location’ to find information about the room, a picture of what it looks like and details about the room facilities such as:
- Room type
- Capacity
- Disability access
- Equipment
Audio-visual technologies for teaching
Access the Room Facilities Guide for comprehensive information about the specific type of lectern in each room, what sort of lecture recording system is in use, and details of all other technologies in that room. The Guide covers teaching facilities as well as meeting rooms.
Borrow AV equipment such as data projectors, audio recorders, and PA systems.
Using the lecterns
Instructions on how to activate and connect to the different types of lecterns, including videos on lectern fundamentals and microphone techniques.
Lectern training sessions are available.
Book a meeting or one-off teaching space
Log in to the Web Room Booking system to book other meeting and teaching rooms.
