Accept and manage your grant
Congratulations on securing a learning and teaching grant from Macquarie.
All projects must assigned a project leader who has ultimate responsibility for the management and accountability of the project including succession planning if team members are no longer able to participate.
How to accept your grant
Project leaders will receive a letter of offer from the Office of the PVC Learning and Teaching (PVC L&T) which will outline the general conditions of the award, your reporting requirements and important dates.
To accept the offer, you will need to obtain the required signatures which are mentioned in the letter and return it to the Office of the PVC L&T.
Accessing your grant funds
The PVC L&T will liaise with the Office of Financial Services to establish a grant account for you, and will email you the account details. You should expect to hear from the PVC L&T throughout grant cycles as they will check-in with you to ensure grant expenditure is on track.
Managing changes to your grant
Where variations to a panel approved budgets may be required, project leads must email the Office of the PVC L&T at firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss options.
Associate Deans Learning and Teaching or Directors should be cc'd in the correspondence. Please note requests to carry over between calendar years is rarely approved.
Early and ongoing relationship management with key stakeholders is expected from all grant leaders and teams. This would include:
- project team members
- Associate Deans Learning and Teaching
- faculty Learning and Teaching teams
- General Managers
- Learning Technologies or Learning Innovation Hub
- Human Resources.
Issues that arise must be escalated as quickly as possible within regular faculty or office line reporting structures.
