Media and external communications

The Media team works with Macquarie staff to facilitate interactions with the media. This can involve papers (eg. those accepted by research or academic journals), opinion pieces, media interview opportunities, and other news and announcements for external audiences.

For academics seeking media coverage of papers, we encourage you to complete this form when the paper has been accepted to be published so that we can work with the information under embargo to coincide with the release of the paper.

Our content channels

The content team looks after the University’s channels for internal audience, as well as social media and general news.

Staff channels – This Week, staff web portal

The staff channels, incorporating the weekly staff newsletter This Week and the staff web portal keep our staff up to date on university life. The content is rich in stories about the great work people are doing, big events on campus, and important notices.

Student channels – MyMQ, student web portal

Student channels, including the weekly student newsletter MyMQ, campus social media, and the student portal, keep our student community up-to-date on campus events, important study information, and the latest student-related initiatives.
