The faculty building services team aims to support the faculty and the community in large by offering solutions to your various concerns in using and accessing the facilities.

Student
Getting your access and keys
If you are a current student, you will need to submit an application for access via AskMQ
Once your application is approved, you will receive an email to your student account informing of your newly updated access. If the facility requires a key to access, you will need to visit the building access office and retrieve your keys from one of our team members.
Lost Keys and Cards
In the event you lose a key you will need to pay lost charges to the cashiers first. They are located at 18 Wally’s Walk. The costs are as follows:

Please submit an application for access via AskMQ as you settle your lost charges.
Once your application is approved, you will receive an email to your MQ account as your replacement keys are issued. You will need to visit the building access office and retrieve your keys from one of our team members.
Individual Property Requests
Property requests can be made by submitting an online customer service request form for the following service enquiries:
- Cleaning - Including removing confidential waste
- Electrical - Powerpoints, switches, lights etc.
- Plumbing issues
- Air conditioning
- Room refurbishments

Staff

Task priorities
We aspire to assist with your requests as soon as possible. Upon submission, your request will be reviewed and performed based on its task priority. We define the priorities of the tasks as follows:

Macquarie engineering and technical services
METS mechanical and electronics workshops offer a range of services ranging from design and prototype through to manufacture and repair of equipment.
METS mechanical services include design, fabrication, machining, welding, and tool and instrument making and servicing.
Our staff members are multi-skilled and capable of applying multiple processes to each project. As well as the core competencies there are many other areas of expertise. Included in our facilities is a machine shop, welding shop, sheet metal shop, and painting booth. METS maintains a clean servicing facility for the preventative maintenance as well as repair of sensitive instrumentation such as microscopes.
Every task that METS undertakes is tailored to the specific needs of our customers. Some clients require METS to perform all aspects of the project from conceptual sketch through to finished article, testing and refinement. Others have clearly defined needs and choose to use the skilled manufacture and fabrication services of METS. METS' extensive corporate knowledge is often able to help clients with additional aspects of the project by drawing upon past experience. METS looks after our customers commercial and intellectual rights with the highest levels of protection.
Engraving and signage. METS produce a wide range of signage, using computer controlled engraving machines, or for larger tasks, the computer controlled vinyl cutter. Ranging from staff lapel badges, door directory and mailbox signs, campus directory signs and boards to flag signs and large banners, METS can meet all your signage requirements.
Electronics services include circuit design, printed circuit board (PCB) design, printed circuit board (PCB) manufacture, component sourcing, circuits assembly, equipment manufacture and systems integration and equipment repair.
