Mentoring
Welcome
The Spectrum Approach to mentoring is goal orientated, and encompasses mentoring relationships that may be ongoing and sustained over an extensive period of time across to those that are short-term and aligned with a particular task or focus. This website is a self-sustaining online resource informed by current research. The website was developed with an aim to facilitate and support new and established mentoring relationships. The term 'spectrum' signifies the range of mentoring relationships that can be formed. This website is an essential destination for any educator wishing to find a mentor or become a mentor. Located on this site are resources to support and inform mentoring relationships.
The Spectrum Approach to Mentoring is part of the Promoting Excellence Initiative funded by the Australian Learning and Teaching Council (ALTC). The resources on this site are organised in four categories: Learning and Teaching, Learning and Teaching Awards and Grants, Research and Generic. The Spectrum Approach to Mentoring was conceptualised and organised by Marina Harvey, Trudy Ambler, Jayde Cahir and this site designed by Michael Catabay in the Learning and Teaching Centre, Macquarie University.
